Client
A steakhouse restaurant in Alaska serving steak, grilled fish and seasonal salads.
Challenge
Restaurant sites usually lead with a PDF menu. The brief was to make the food itself the entry point, carry the room's atmosphere into the page, and keep booking visible without a sticky toolbar fighting the imagery.
My role
- Visual direction and page composition
- Menu presentation and content hierarchy
- Responsive UI design
- Reservation and newsletter form design
Solution
A deep wine red anchors the brand, with full-bleed photography carrying most of the page. The booking line sits directly in the hero, so the first screen answers "what is this place" and "how do I get a table" at once.
The menu section uses a dark, image-led ranking strip instead of a text list — each dish gets a photograph, a short description and a reason to order it. Story sections for ingredients and preparation alternate with restaurant imagery, and the page closes with honors, a newsletter offer and a clear booking action.

Tech stack
Design system, responsive layout grid, image-led content modules, form UX.
