A one-person studio, on purpose.
Rowee is my professional working name. My legal name is Luo Hui. I am an independent full-stack developer and UI designer running a one-person web studio based in China.
My focus is bridging visual design and solid code. I enjoy solving practical business problems with web technology, especially for marketing teams that need a reliable white-label partner.
For more than twenty years, I've worked across the whole cycle: research, UI design, frontend and backend development, deployment and post-launch support. That experience is why I keep the studio small. The person you speak with is the person doing the work.
Many of my past projects were built for Chinese businesses. While the site content is in Chinese, the architecture, UI design, and development workflow follow global web standards. I can build fully English websites tailored for North American clients.
I take a long-term view on web projects: clean UI, maintainable code, good performance and clear communication.
How I communicate.
Written English is my primary working mode. Specs, estimates, updates, and handover documentation are written so they can be reviewed asynchronously and shared with stakeholders who were not on the call. Clear writing is part of the deliverable, not an afterthought.
When a conversation is more efficient than a document, I am glad to meet over Zoom. Live captions are available on video calls, and I share written notes afterward so everyone has the same record.
